Lucy started as a parent governor and also attended the school as a pupil. Lucy enjoys working as part of a team towards improving outcomes for children and young people. 

 

Karen Plummer

Karen started as a parent governor over 15 years ago and has a grandson who has just started in reception. Karen enjoys being involved with the students in all aspects of their school life at St George’s

Emma Bray

Co-Vice Chair OF GOVERNORS

Emma Bray is co Vice Chair of Governors.  She started as a Parent Governor. She has a daughter in the Primary Phase and studied at Saint George’s herself. Emma works as a Project Manager for the NHS focusing on Service Transformation, Improvement and Delivery. She has previously worked in Higher and Further Education. Emma is looking forward to being a “critical friend” to the school and will be there to support the school and help it improve where needed.

Dr Jawad Zadeh

Dr. Jawad Zadeh is a Parent Governor at Saint George's. Jawad enjoys working as part of a team to achieve the best results in Modern Foreign Languages, Information Technology and other academic areas. ​ ​

Conversant in several languages, Jawad has good insights and first-hand knowledge of different cultures, and his community involvement will help the school identify certain problems and find the best ways to resolve them. ​

Charles has been a governor at Saint George’s for over 15 years, having joined as a Parent Governor as both his sons attended the school. He is currently the Link Governor for Careers and works as a Financial Advisor, and is an Ebbsfleet United ticket holder.

Sarah Evans

Sarah is a staff governor and has worked at Saint George’s for several years.  She has had various support roles during this time, including Teaching Assistant and Community Leader, and is currently a Teacher in the Primary Phase. She is also a staff member and an ex-student of Saint George’s, and she has a son who is in the secondary phase. Sarah looks forward to getting more involved in the school community.

 

Susan Glover

Sue is a retired secondary teacher with experience in the leadership group and KMT, as well as a humanities specialist and GCSE and A Level examiner in geography. Sue is a governor at two of our Trust schools, Saint George’s, where she is a member of the Curriculum, Ethos and Admissions subcommittees, and St Botolph’s. Sue worships at St. Mary’s, where she is a Pastoral Visitor, and she is also a Bereavement Counsellor with Cruse Bereavement Care.

 

Claudia Jordan

GOVERNOR

Claudia has more than 25 years of commercial experience in management and professional development. She was elected as Staff Governor in Spring 2018 and sits on the Resources and Finance Committee. When Claudia became a Governor, she had two aims: to add value to the school as a whole from her commercial skills and to gain a wider understanding of how the school operates, which could give greater insight to staff.  

 

Victor Twine

GOVERNOR

Victor was a student at St George's until 1971, when, 11 years ago, he retired after a career as a Bio-Medical Scientist; his first new role was to return to St George’s as a Governor.

Vic is a Lay Minister at St Mary’s and enjoys standing in for Trudi to lead Church Worship when needed. He enjoys being able to support staff and students as a Link Governor.

Elise Ramadan

GOVERNOR

Elise has taught in state education for over 15 years across various schools, ages, leadership roles and subjects. She is a certified facilitator at Ultimate Contribution Uncovered, an NTP tutor, a professional football coach, and an event production manager, and she has had her ideas on education published in contemporary teacher training resources. She is also the founder of Morphise, a bespoke121 journey of self-awareness and discovery which creates mindsets for change, nurtures behaviours towards fulfilment and provides opportunities to transform education for both young people and those responsible for the progress of young people so that they can realise their potential to thrive in a modern world. 

Ruth Conteh

GOVERNOR

Ruth started her career after being called to the Bar of England and Wales as a Barrister in 2009 and has been in Financial Services for 13 years. Over the years, Ruth has delivered several global projects, impacting thousands of colleagues globally.  More recently, Ruth has spent the last four years supporting the Barclays Board Remuneration Committee, drafting the Directors Remuneration Report, Pay gaps reporting and Fair Pay reporting.  Ruth joined the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team as the Governance and Policy lead, focusing on understanding the micro and macro environment to help progress our internal policies.

Hannah Day

GOVERNOR

Hannah became a governor at Saint George's as her children attended the primary phase, and their experience has been excellent. Hannah wishes to contribute to the Trust's continued improvement and development to ensure that all children’s school experience is as inclusive, diverse and developmentally challenging as it can possibly be.

Hannah has over 18 years of teaching experience, including EYFS, KS1 and KS2, SENDCo and leadership.
